Just a heads up, Lamb and Gammon are half price in Tesco if you have a Clubcard. I did pay out for a big outdoor reared gammon joint, we had one at Christmas - was beautiful , but it will do the three of us at least four meals each - maybe five if I get the slicer out and soupIll wait a bit longer to get some lamb. Lamb isnt a big seller here so I picked up a few on the same offer at Christmas , but all reduced to £8 , hoping to time it right again but if not no worries I have 2 in the freezer still10

Oh dear, I seem to have opened a discussion about green peppers! The reason I wanted just one red pepper instead of the usual bag of mixed colour wonky ones was because I already had a green one in the fridge plus some chopped in the freezer. And the mixed bags have, of late, been mainly green. I don't mind what colour they are but do use them differently, especially if eating raw - the green ones aren't as sweet as the red ones simply because they haven't fully ripened. I like the green ones in a beef stir fry or stuffed and baked. The enormous red one I got weighs in at a whopping 361g.
Hairdressers today but no shopping. When I got back I sliced the gammon joint we had on Sunday and now have enough in the freezer for another 5 meals and a box of bits in the fridge that I'll use for 2 small quiches (another 2 meals). That was a good value joint - 8 meals for 2 for £4. I have a beef joint to cook this weekend (another promotional offer) so will have to think about the Sainsbury's lamb offer. I'm not due another delivery until just after the offer finishes so if I want one will have to do an in-person shop - and that will be weather dependent. Next Monday looks good so far. I'll think on it.
Last September our local Post Office that was in a Nisa store disappeared when Nisa closed. Good news - we have a new one that's opened just a couple of doors down. It's tiny but at least we now have one.Be kind to others and to yourself too.7 -
When our local post office closed, it got reopened in the local pub, when they'd had enough a local store that sells all sorts of things took it over, but each time it changes hands it moves further away from the bus stop. Still at least we still have one.5

I still haven’t ventured back to the hairdresser since lockdown. Every time it gets long, and I plan to go, I chicken out and get my sharp scissors out. If it is crooked it doesn’t show in a plait.

The one thing I missed during lockdown was the hairdresser - long hair isn't a good look for me. I have, however, gone from a layered pixie cut to a short bob. It's my one and only vanity so it's worth it to me plus I enjoy an hour's me-time once in a while.Be kind to others and to yourself too.6

I have a hairdresser who comes to my house to cut my hair. Was so pleased once lockdown was over and she was able to come back and cut my hair. Been having my 6 weekly cuts ever since, although occasionally needs to extend to 7 weeks when holiday season comes around!

The way I cut my long hair: bend over, brush and comb all the hair until it is all on the top of my head (so, hanging down, seeing as I'm bent over). This may take five or more minutes, just making sure all the hair is as straight as possible. Then I put it in a ponytail, and put a second elastic band where I intend to cut, near the tip of the ponytail. I then cut below the band, at the tip-side.Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.5910 -
I do something similar, although with 3 ponytails as I like my hair layered. There are lots of video if you Google cutting your own hair showing different ways to do it.Live the good life where you have been planted.
