I've had a lovely morning getting things for Grandchildren Easter gifts.
Parents request no chocolate eggs so got books and crafts etc from Home Bargains
They also had lovely Easter cards for 29p6 -
I assume Moonpig are trading on their big name now and assuming that a lot of their customers will simply be using account credit and not noticing the individual costs.
@luvchocolate your post made me giggle - the parents might well request no chocolate eggs - I bet the children would disagree though!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Is that not the the rule for surplus chocolate, it goes to the parents? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.9 -
See, I’m the opposite, I’d rather the kids get loads of chocolate which will eventually get eaten or used in baking, as otherwise their playroom gets bursting with toys (art supplies are also a favourite here as again they get used up!).I know a lot of parents prefer to avoid chocolate though. Very good of you to comply with the parents’ wishes!Today is my ninth wedding anniversary, which I’d forgotten and so had DH 😅 however his aunt & uncle kindly sent us a card with £20 in which reminded us! So he spent the cash on Yo Sushi stuff from the supermarket. We always used to make homemade sushi as a tradition either on Valentine’s or for our anniversary, but we don’t have the time for that mid week with work and the kids to deal with. And we’ve gotten a Japanese takeaway in some previous years but I find we always spend at least £40 and we’d discounted doing that this year. So it’s nice we can keep the tradition going with the gift but not be out of pocket ☺️ (yes, ok, we could have saved the £20 but they sent it to us wanting us to get a wee treat not for the purpose of boosting our emergency fund).Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

Children are 5 and 3 ..I usually get away with a tiny chocolate bunny in the bag
I remember when my son was little I used to break the eggs into pieces and put in a bowl in fridge.
Everytime I opened fridge I pinched some...I definitely ate more than he did7 -

My parents would get me a cheap game for my PS or a book I was after instead for Easter. It lasted longer than chocolate.
My parents put the message out not to get me chocolate. I got gift cards, for places they knew I went to, instead from aunts/uncles and grandparents while my chocoholic sister got chocolate still.
My sister would have been the kind of child not to take kindly to a no chocolate request 🤣.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy9 -
