Thanks for the comments about silicone bundt tins.6

I had to go back out anyway so I had a look round. I’ve got a little sains, a little tesco, an aldi and a coop. None found.
So I’ll bash on with what I’ve got.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4 -
Grocery delivery has arrived, on time and mostly OK.
- One out of stock (not a disaster as it was a "would like" rather than "must have").
- Two subs, both branded rather than SM own, but acceptable. £1.16 dearer but will receive a refund for that.
- A free pack of x 4 brioche buns, good till mid-Jan.
Wasn't sure if I'd get these or not as any freebies are usually gone by the time my order comes.
- An extra bag of potatoes that I didn't order and haven't been charged for.
The driver offered to take them back if I didn't want them but said I might as well keep them. I did, because whenever I've phoned to let them know there's an "extra" in my delivery they've always said to just keep them.
- Price increases (sigh) - 10p on a pack of beef mince, 20p on a bag of sugar and 40p on a 4-pack of tins of tuna.
Be kind to others and to yourself too.6 -
I haven't tried baking with silicone moulds - I have a large amount of cake tins so don't want to add to my stash. I have one Bundt tin - it was brand new and put out to take for free by a neighbour - so Mr F got it for me. I would love one of those expensive Bundt tins but will resist.Decluttering Achieved - 2023 - 10,364 Decluttering - 2024 - 8,365 August - 0/45

We'll be having a christmas cake as usual - MrEH insists! Having said that, we should probably set to and eat the remains of last year's before he makes the new one! (His recipe makes a HUGE one which gets well fed with rum or brandy (I think we used Calvados last year) and lasts just about forever.
Nabbed a pack of butter in M's yesterday at £1.89 - feels crazy that it felt like a bargain but at 10p cheaper than anywhere else right now, I'll take it. It was their own "savers" brand and I'm sure last time I looked they weren't stocking that any more.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I remember the co-op on the corner of our row of terraced houses used to have a massive (to a young girl) pat of lard and same of butter that sat on marble bases and you could buy a tiny amount that they put in greaseproof paper.
My Gran would send me with her co-op book for 2 rashers of streaky bacon and pay for her week's shopping at the weekend - after payday.
