Confronted with one of these cakes, I might even be persuaded to have a slice. 🤔
I bought some Waitrose brown butter mince pies on offer yesterday for sharing, at 12 for £4 I thought it was much more reasonable than 6 for £3.50, but they expire in less than 10 days time. Lidl's 12-packs are reduced by 10p to £1.99, which is very affordable. Its a standard product but still delicious.
Very intricate patterns and they showed the end result cake which was fabulously detailed.
But I'm not a baker so am not a qualified judge of bundt.
Tunis cakes - I have definitely eaten them before but never known them to be a Christmas tradition. They are not the worst, nor are they something I can imagine ever fancying - certainly not in the same way as Christmas cake.
Eta: now I remember what I was so clearly thinking of, a total meh-cake:
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Best bundt cake tins tried and tested 2020 | BBC Good FoodThis tin is so beautifully crafted, it would even look fabulous as a serving dish. Nordic Ware are the king of bundt cake tins (they even trademarked the name) and the packaging tells you a little of the history, including that they were first made in the 1950s. There are also detailed instructions on how to use and care for the pan.The detailing on the cake was brilliant with sharp peaks and a leaf-shaped pattern – definitely showstopping.

Since becoming a Lidler/Aldi-ite (?) I couldn't eat cadbury chocolate now if you paid me. Very inferior product imo. Whereas Lidl/Aldi are better chocolate altogether, no matter which ones you pick up
Edit - I don't eat white choc tho, so I can't comment on that.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.7 -

One bar lasts us for ages as usually one or two squares are enough.
The hazelnut is very nice.
Green & Blacks is good, I'd only buy when on offer though.

Ditto Greene&Blacks - dear but yummy!
Dark choc is my preference, himself likes milk choc. I think the plain and flavoured bars are v good. Dark choc + mint or orange/almond or raspberry are all delish. I can't remember now if it was lidl or aldi but I got a dark choc orange mousse bar that was bladdy lovely!I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.6 -

I have a bundt-cake baking tray, with shapes for 6 small bundt cakes. I think it came from ikea. It's lovely to bake small bundt cakes, because we can share 1 between the 4 of us, and I can freeze the rest.

All this talk of bundt is getting me twitchy to try it out.
I'm an avid cook but definitely not a baker.
Anyone used silicone moulds?6 -
