Glimmer of light, the small independent garage I pass on the way to/from office has today REDUCED their fuel prices! Hopefully others will do too soon.February wins: Theatre tickets5

Prices at The Works
They used to have a multibuy offer of 3 paperbacks for £5.
In May there were some books in the disply without the sticker. So I (and I noticed others) checked with staff that a book I wanted was included. It was and I overheard two members of staff talking about having received a message not to apply the stickers.
I now know why - the 3 paperbacks are now £6 in total, not £5.5 -
JinJinBlue said:Thanks for that CKhalvashi. I'll look in some of the outdoor clothing shops. It might be well worth the investment. I'm going into town tomorrow, so something to add to my list.
Again, perfect in Georgia in January and OH (a pilot) swears by their coats for work in winter.
We have a fleece and raincoat but bought as a single item where one detaches from the other.
Net result is that it's flexible enough to be worn in summer during rain, for -15 outside aircraft checks (outside for 15-20 minutes at a time, a bit longer if any damage is found or the aircraft is being swapped) but also as a fleece to use through autumn and spring. Other brands may be available but this is our experience.💙💛 💔6 -
Just a quick reminder to look after vehicles, as someone else felt the pinch today.
Catalytic converter stolen from my father's car. This was all in a public car park. Trying to source a second hand replacement as we speak.
Luckily he has a second car but at £1500 retail, this isn't what anyone needs right now (except probably the idiots taking this and maybe earning £300 from it).

Bloody hell, in a public car park! Did CCTV pick up the culprits?
Speaking of cars - a tip for drivers, a mechanic told me this years ago.
When you start your car don't drive off straight away. Let the engine warm up a wee bit first so the oil can get round the innards. It's to protect your engine, give it chance to do it's job. Especially on cold frosty mornings.I had a hen who could count her own eggs - she was a mathemachicken.6 -

I would suggest that folk driving cars with those easy removable, attractive catalytic converters park them right up to a wall / garage door to reduce any chance of theft.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I do wonder if those people who have open plan homes will regret it now. They must be more expensive to heat.
