We have a glut of raspberries at the moment, picking about a pound a day with loads more to come, so are passing them on to our neighbours.

Currently enjoying our breakfasts of layered granola, raspberries, greek yogurt, granola and raspberries on top, left overnight. Yummy. Need to start freezing a few of the big raspberries to go in my G&Ts across the winter. Some of them are massive, size of loganberries. The rain and sunshine we've had this year has led to a particularly good crop of large fruit.

Someone else is now trying to get rid of 180 odd bags of baking potatoes. One of the supermarkets has been making some serious miscalculations here.

Hello, I do enjoy reading these threads. A random question I was hoping you clever lot might know the answer to. I made 2 quiches last night and I have some leftover filling (cream and egg). What can I do with it so it doesn’t go to waste. I don’t have enough butter in to make pastry and want to avoid going to the shop!

Omelette or frittata?? Filled with whatever you have in. Both can be frozen.

You could make a crustless quich!  just the same as one in a pastry case but just cooked in a flan tin.  Can then be cut into pieces and frozen.

If you have a sunny patch I really would recommend them as being terribly easy to grow. We bought 6 canes 3 years ago and they have increased massively. The variety is called Joan J.  We got them from Ken Muir where you can buy them online (we called in) as bare rooted canes in the winter. Plant them out, water them regularly whilst they get established, cut them back after they've fruited and wait for next year's crop.
