It's getting tough out there. Feeling the pinch?

My head was cold when I woke up in the night at the weekend.  I did look up a pattern for a night cap.

The W.I did a tour of the Hat Museum in Stockport once. The guide reckoned that one of the reason people stopped wearing hats was the increase in car ownership.  I suppose if you can just walk from your house to the car and drive to work you don't get as cold as you would hanging around waiting for a bus or train.

Even just walking from the house to the car I still wear a hat when it's this cold but not most of the time.

When I moved into this house 23 years ago it had no heating, I used to have to sleep with a hat on otherwise I would wake up with a headache

but warmed up you can dollop ice cream or squirty cream on top

Well that's just put me off my breakfast. (Which wasn't custard by the way.) Thanks for that.

The world where it comes with extra thick cream and a blob of ice cream obviously....Custard, I can take or leave, cream is hardcore

I have to agree - custard is the devils spawn

Ice cream or cream or plain naked.

Mind Ive had an inkling for carnation milk lately, keep getting tempted but feared it wont be as I remember it
