Which appears to be exactly what the OP has described as the consruction of the garages. The differene is that one has people inside, and the other has cars inside. Not sure where 'link detached' comes in. That's not what was described, nor was the term ever used.

Our first house was small but TARDIS-like, boring and small on the outside but enchanting on the inside. We even managed to re-jig the rooms to improve the layout even more, so when it went on the market, the first viewer bought it on the spot.
It had a rather narrow shared drive leading to garages in rear gardens.
It was occasionally a hassle when visitors parked in the driveway. Extremely rare.
However we were the only houses on the road that had a driveway at all.
We were in a quite leafy villagey area in SW London where off-road parking was as rare as hens teeth, but transport links were great and retail /service facilities were generous. A sweet spot. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker1 -
Make sure power is available in the garage for charging a car.1

Can you include a photo? Wouldn't have a problem if it was one shared area, prob in front of the house, with designated parking in front of a garage. But if no parking other than inside the garage, a big no-no for me. Couldn't trust neighbours not to park there. Not many will park inside a garage all year.2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0

Why do you think that it would be an issue?

Sounds very much like our house. Our garage is semi detached with next doors and we each have a driveway leadng up to the garage. We have a row of bricks down the middle of the driveway to delineate the boundary.
We have been living here for 3 years now, it was brand new when we moved in, and it has not been a problem at all. In fact we like the set up as it means the houses are further apart.

We share a drive and there’s no issues. I think it just depends on who your neighbour is0
