The retailer is probably correct and not the landowner , few retailers actually own the land , most are tenants

They could have told you who the landowner is , or more likely who the managing agent is , so you can complain to them

You should find the managing agent first , as they are likely to have contracted the parking company !

So IMHO , accept what they told you and follow my advice , contact the managing agent

Yes , send a SAR to the DPO at the PPC
Thank you very much I’ll do that now, I’m sorry I’m trying to find a template for an SAR request on here but there’s so much info I’ve yet to see one while scrolling (and still am) are you able to point me in the direction at all please?

Newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , based on the legal beagles template , because a SAR is about Data protection or data rectification , not parking ( it's got nothing to do with the parking topic )

A Google search also provides good GDPR information too , including SAR requests
Thank you very much both, in terms of the photos from the so called overstay, it’s 2 close ups of my car taken at a height and it’s not possible to tell where the car is, it’s certainly not parked, and there’s no photos of signage either in the photos or on its own, I assume this would strengthen my case as it really looks like the vehicle could be on any road anywhere

Doesn't help hugely if the images are from ANPR cameras at the entrance and exit.  Those never show signs in the same image, nor can they show a car actually 'parked' but that isn't expected (not how ANPR evidence works and it was good enough for the Supreme Court!).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As far as the pictures go , they are cameras mounted at the entrance/exit , monitoring time on site , not parking time , so time in and time out , a typical amor monitored car park , nothing to see there , nothing to complain about , it's standard industry practice

The cameras must be synchronised with GMT and obtain a correct VRM , timestamped , as if a cameraman paparazzi was up there sniping camera shots , don't read anything into the system , but look for any flaws or errors , because anpr is only about 80% effective

An overstay is being longer on a site than the signs permit , subject to the BPA CoP version 8 dated January 2020 clauses regarding Grace periods , clause 13 , download it and read it
  • Hi All,

I emailed the landowner amongst others on Sunday and I have today received an email cancelling the charge (see below)
