    It might be better looking at their "master portfolios" which don't seem to include the expensive MM funds, although you'd need to rebalance etc yourself:
    But even there there's a bias towards actively managed funds. They used to have suggested portfolios for trackers but I can't find that - HL don't really seem to like trackers.

    They still include one low cost index fund in each sector of their wealth shortlist. That seems to be the practice across most providers who have such lists.
    Would always recommend people source their research from beyond their own provider, including several different sources. It takes little extra effort and is a good defence against well-marketed but inferior products.

    Their Select Funds are not outrageous either. 0.60% OCF + 0.45% platform fees. 3 concentrated funds with no external fund manager
    HL should be OK with trackers now as they can charge 0.45% on them just like managed funds. Before RDR there wasn't any margin in the AMC for their commission. I remember when they introduced Vanguard funds but charged £2.00 per month to make up for the missing kick back
