Eek! My stepmum has only just told me she was a Barclaycard customer. She has a letter dated 22 April 2022 stating that she should have received a cheque in November 2021. She was away from October to January and while her son did put her post in a pile for her, it appears she must have missed the important refund cheque.

I've tried calling Barclaycard (0800 634 3924) and even though I waited over 2 hours, I didn't get to speak to anyone. Tried for 2 days so far. Any tips on how I can resolve this for her? Thank you.
You need to speak to them, maybe try at less popular times, or write to them and ask them to re-issue the cheque

UPDATE: I contacted Barclaycard on Twitter. They arranged for a callback within a couple of days. My step mum was able to give her bank details for the payment rather than a replacement cheque. I have since sent thanks to the social media team. My tip is to ask nicely and they will help.

I had a letter about this last year. When I called them they said it was a mistake and to ignore the letter. Today another arrived with a form asking which account I want the refund paid into. I called again and they said it is legitimate so I'm waiting for the payment.
