Will I pass MOT if I have one central door lock broken (I have to open drivers door from inside )? Doors in this car open with a key not with the remote . If I do need to get it fixed anyone knows how much would this cost (Scotland )Thanks

The MOT manual says "Driver and passenger doors must open from the outside using the relevant control." so it seems it will fail.

How to you expect someone to give an indication of cost when you haven't stated what vehicle it is?

It’s not quite clear from your question what is wrong. The doors on your car don’t have to lock they are not going to use the key or remote to lock and unlock the car as part of the test. The front doors need to close and open from both the inside and outside and be secure (ie latched closed so they don’t flap open, not secure as in locked). So if to get into your car you’re opening the passenger door stretching across to unlock the drivers door, then you can walk round open the drivers door and get in and out as you please then you are fine, present the car to the MOT unlocked in this case.

For a Panda it shouldn't cost a lot.  Get the door trim off and have a look.

I will definitely not know what to look for there . Just wanted to know if I need to repair it (MOT) or it can be left there until it starts bothering me ;)

If the door opens ok on the key, then I believe it should be fine., I had a cavalier that used to lock itself and that was a fail.

So long as emergency services can get in following an accident you should be fine I believe.

It doesn't. The OP said "I have to open drivers door from inside".
