                                  in Credit cards

This credit card is available with Santander "Everyday No Balance Transfer Fee Credit Card". Just need some help understanding how the payments would work-if I want to avoid paying any interest.  If I set up ddi for minimum amount for balance transfer, payments would leave to pay off the Balance transfer, but then could I spend on this card for the first 3months but also set a ddi for minimum amount so don't have to pay interest on it until after 3months, therefore if I pay in full in month 3, I won't need to pay interest? Is the balance transfer bill separated from the 0%purchase bill? And therefore you can pay off each part of the statement separately? How does it work with Santander? Specifically this card as I'm considering getting it as there isn't a transfer fee. Any advice appreciated. Thanks

You only set up one DD, not two. It will be allocated to the highest rate debt or, if both are at the same rate, it'll go to purchases first.
You don't get to choose.0 -
One DD, payments should go to the purchases balance first.
I've just got this card. They keep reversing all my balance transfer requests without any notification or explanation. When I finally got through to customer services (after a long wait, including 5 minutes of telling me I should do everything online), they said there were reasons the transfers were being reversed but they didn't know what they were and even if they did, they wouldn't tell me for 'security' reasons.
My first and last experience with Santander, that's for sure.0 -

Oh dear really? Thanks for sharing your experience. It doesn't make sense. If you're using it to balance transfer then surely the payments should be towards that balance. What do you mean by reversing balance transfers, do you mean it's sending them back to your previous credit card provider? Seems more trouble than it's worth, as I don't know much about them. Your post doesn't give me much faith in them..mat1964 said:One DD, payments should go to the purchases balance first.

The amount of your minimum payment will be based on the total balance on the card. If you read the T&C document it tells you which order payments are allocated. If you have purchases on the statement your payment will go to them first and anything left over will go to the BT.moneysavinggirl40 said:...... It doesn't make sense.
