Shower Waste Pipe

Options
Looking for some advice on whether it is okay to connect the shower waste pipe to the main soil stack where I have put a red arrow in the photo.

The toilet is coming in from the left.  The fitting will be joined at the top to the main waste stack.

I can't put the shower any lower as there are two joists and a supporting wall in the way.

Is this a Tee piece with the bottom section going off to the foul drain ?
If it is just a 90° bend, any waste from the toilet is just going to sit in that pipe & fester - Do you really want it coming up through the shower base ?

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

We need a wider pic to show it all, including slopes, and where each pipe is going to.
  • Here is a wider view.

The left pipe is connected to the toilet, the top of the joint will be joined to the main waste stack at the top and the bottom is running down the wall to the ground floor and into the foul drain

Yes as long as you get the correct fall in the waste pipe from the shower so you're going to need to put the tray on a plinth.
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.

Yes  the shower tray is 10cm high so hopefully the fall should be okay.  I was really concerned about having the toilet waste and shower waste at the same level going into the stack.

It's fine at 90 degrees that's what that boss is for.
