Pre-paid credit card for nanny

Hi, we have a nanny who looks after our children during the school holidays.  We have always had a petty cash box that she can dip in an out of when spending money on excursions, food etc.  However cash isn't always accepted anymore, so we would like to get her a pre-paid card instead.  I wondered if anyone has any experience of using a pre-paid credit card for another person?  I'm not sure if we open the card in our own names or if it has to be in her name?  I want to have complete control over the card - to be able to load it as need it and track spending.  However we also want to empower her to book activities etc without waiting for us to do it. We completely trust her but don't want to burden her with having to apply for a card etc.
let me know if there's anything you think I haven't considered please?

You can put it in her name, but have the app on your phone to track spending and top up.

It is better to be in your name and given to the nanny to use with your authorisation.
It isn't fair to expect her to apply for her own card.
Speak to your own bank first to see what they offer that is linked to your account, or look for one of the specialist providers.
Another option would be a child's card that is linked to your account in the name of your child / children and depending on their ages either they use it or the nanny uses it again with your authorisation.

You could open an account with starling bank and then get a connected card, which will do exactly what you want, I’ve attached the link so you can check it out for yourself.

Pre-paid currency cards like CaxtonFX allow you to request additional cards for other people. You have a card and app and they then also get a card in their name and the balance is shared across the cards.

I am sure it is just a typo but you won't get a "pre-paid credit card" for anyone there is no such thing.

If you get a credit card then the person applying for it will be credit checked and a credit limit applied.

If you get a pre-paid debit card then that can be topped up or connected in the case of Starling
