It's any money received within the UC assessment period. Doesn't matter when you did the work that earned it.
    Thank you

Just to add - after you have stopped work you may, in due course, be due a tax refund. If so the refund will be treated as earnings when it is received.
Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.

Your tenancy does not end at the end of a fixed tenancy.  A tenancy can only be ended by yourself or your landlord following the correct procedures.

If, for example, someone did not renew their tenancy agreement they would still have a tenancy - this is called a periodic or rolling tenancy.

Only the tenant cor landlord can end a tenancy and the proper procedures need to be followed.

    Read this:

Options when your fixed term tenancy ends - Shelter England

There are many people that have periodic tenancies and there should be no problem with the DWP accepting your original tenancy agreement if the new one wasn't issued at the time of your UC application.

People being evicted from their homes by their landlords (their tenancy agreement having expired) still can claim housing costs if they are continuing to pay rent because they still have a liability to pay it.
