Is There Any Bursary Or Grants For Nhs Students In The University

I am Being Sponsored to Study Nursing at The University By Nhs because i work as Health care Assistant For Nhs.Is it possible to get Grants or Bursary cos i dont know if it is only those that are being Funded by Student finance that can Qualify For this.Or If there is any other way that i can get Additional help because my Travel cost is a bit too Expensive and i struggle with my husband to manage childcare of the children.Thanks

You'd need to do s bit of research to find out if you qualify for the £5k bursary. Or contact Student Finance to see if you qualify for a loan from them.

Are you paid by your employer still, other than getting the course fees paid for?

Have to applied to the university for help? They usually have a fund to help students who are struggling financially. The information should be available on the university's website.

Thanks so Much for this Reply.My Employer pays for My Tuition and i am being Paid while i am in the Uni studying By Nhs[My Employer]and i get paid When i work on the days when i am not attending Uni.

So, that sounds like a secondment, in which case you are not eligible for the £5k bursary/additional allowances:

The university may offer help, it depends on your household income though.

Could you ask your employer to help with the travelling costs?
