Finally, what 2 IDs do you recommend? I have no utility bills in my name so cannot do those. I guess one can be the V5.
Yes, your vehicle's registration document is good.
How about sending them a copy of your County Court Claim Form as well?

If you need any more data from me to confirm my identity, please let me know as soon as possible.
Suggest you remove that sentence. All it does is give them an excuse to delay things.

Isn't there a DPO email on their privacy page?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Will do.

Found it. It was dpo@groupnexus.co.uk. Thanks for the help.
  • Hi guys. Thanks for your help previously with the defence stage.

Currently, I'm starting to write up my witness statement for a dispute resolution hearing at the beginning of October. I found a few examples and needed to find out if they're good example to take inspiration from.

One, two and three are the ones I think might be good start.

Also, I was just looking into the directions questionnaire DCB legal sent to me, I was able to find out that the person who's name is in the contact details section has since left the company. Is that hopeful for any discontinuation or can anybody from DCB legal realistically represent them at the date?

The following Witness Statements are seen as current good examples from which to work.  You have already spotted the aphex007 one above.

It's irrelevant. Nobody from either the PPC or DCB Legal will be at any hearing. They offload that task to a low-rent self employed advocate. The out of date name on their DQ is more likely to be an indication of the nature of roboclaim template usage.

But, keep going and your thread could quite easily be linked in the following thread about DCB Legal discontinuations.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Doesn't look like they're going to discontinue. They sent me their witness statement, although full of errors. The pictures they sent of the signs is completely ancient for example.

Can you please take a look a what I've been able to come up with. I thought I had my insurance details from 3 years ago but it looks like they never were sent by email to me and I don't have access to the insurance website anymore.

  • Also, is it at all possible to send a witness statement by email? The letter requesting it only described dropping it off or sending by post.

This is a game played by DCBL they can discontinue right up to the court date.  However they should give you ample notice otherwise they can be seen as being unreasonable

I'm sure the WS they provided is full of holes and if the photos do not tally with the date of the ticket, DCBL will get a court spanking.   It is in their interest to discontinue before you claim costs for unreasonable behaviour.

    THEY DO READ THIS FORUM

Be patient. if it does end up in court, this forum will assist in scuppering them

You can contact the insurer from the time and you should be able to get the details.

I did try this as the first option but they can't seem to find a policy matching my details in their data. That's why I've tried with the MID for now but I don't believe they'll get back in time for me when I submit it.
