Hi, I will start by saying I've had neither vaccine yet. In december I was admitted to hospital due to COVID. I stayed for about a week on oxygen machines etc. after leaving my work have informed my I will have to go on sick pay. I'm unable to return to work yet as I've not yet fully recovered and get out of breathe easily, I work in a trade so returning will be difficult as its a very active job, I'm pretty much on my feet all day everyday. After a meeting with my doctor he informed me my heart was inflamed and not working fully, so another issue to add onto the breathing.
Basically what I'm asking is, is there any financial support schemes for someone in my situation? SSP won't even cover my rent for a month so I'm a bit worried.
Thanks

Edit: When I was in hospital 80% of my lungs were filled with trapped air, leaving only 20% working properly. This is the reason my breathing isn't back to normal yet, as well as the issues with my heart.0

You could be eligible for Universal Credit. This will depend on any savings and if you have a partner who is earning.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

You can check on here if you would get any help from Universal Credit. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/
If you are eligible your SSP will be taken into account but you may get help with your rent. As said, it will depend on any savings you have and also if you have a partner as their income will also be taken into account.
