Help - £500 in the ether!

Hello everyone
wanted some advice or to see if anyone has been in the same situation!
long story short - I transferred £500 from my Nationwide current account to my sons tax free childcare account on 15th December. I have been using these accounts for over a year with no issues. Anyway, on the 20th December, I notice the £500 isn’t in the tax free childcare account and it’s been taken from my current account. A quick call to the tax free folks and they say they haven’t received it, nor is it pending. I get onto Nationwide and they put a trace on it and say it will take 20 working days.

Fast forward to last Friday 21st Jan (the 20th working day) and no resolution. I’m now panicking, am speaking to someone at Nationwide everyday. A complaint is raised (5 working days…) and I speak to someone today who says that I’m actual fact, the tracing team had an issue, tried to speak to the original consultant who raised the trace but he didn’t get back to them…so the money hasn’t been traced nor have I been informed of this!
I want to speak to someone tomorrow and not hang up until I get my money. Is this possible?! Has anyone else experienced this?! It’s been on my mind for over a month and I just want it resolved
thanks for reading!

thanks for reading!Don't be one of those awkard customers on the phone, otherwise you will find they just hang up/get disconnected and you're back to the options menu.Did you re-type in the account details, or use the same saved payment details you have used before?2 -
If you mean the tracing process wasnt initiated rather than meaning it concluded and was inconclusive then probability of getting given £500 tomorrow on a phone call is highly unlikely.
Presumably you just used an already setup/saved PAYEE and didnt have to enter anything other than the amount and date when making the transfer.0 -
Possibly better to post on the banking board as this isn’t consumer rights issue0

Thanks. Found out they mucked up something but didn’t tell me. Still not resolved but had a letter from the complaints team.0
