So does this mean I will be paying somewhere between the flexible octopus tariff and the fixed loyalty tariff? As I’m sure the flexible tariff will be higher in April.0

The current estimates for the April Cap are
Elec UP probably close to 31.4p SC probably close to 24p
Gas UP probabily close to 8.5p, SC probably close to 26p
Of course these are estimates, so could be lower or higher.

Of course these are estimates, so could be lower or higher. Those "probably" close to estimates equate to new energy cap close to £2113 whereas Cornhill Insider as of now are predicting April 2022 energy cap of £1897 and a October 2022 energy cap of £2054.46

We need the Estimated Annual Usage for gas and electricity.Multiply this figure by the unit rate.Do it for electricity and gas and add the totals to get the energy total. Then add the standing charges for electricity and gas together. (Press = so you work with the total) multiply this total by 365 and you get the standing charge total.Add the standing charge total to the energy total this give the annual bill.Divide the annual bill by 12 for your monthly payment.(As you can see. I'm in for a spectacular rise when I pay 8.4p for gas instead of my current 2.9 inc VAT)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science

We'll find out in nine days whether Cornhill Insider are better are predicting the April cap than the MSE Forum isbristolleedsfan said:

Here is my estimated usage but obviously the unit rates and standing charge will change.

With an estimated use of 2912kWh/yr of electricity you're quite a typical user, but 6978kWh/yr of gas is lower than average.Octopus have said that on the current cap it will be £88.30.Does that help?
- On the new cap it could be somewhere around £140/month (but we won't know the cap for 9 days)
- On their current "Loyal Octopus" 12-month fixed loyalty tariff you'd be spending about £145/month.
