Energy debt to bust provider Pure Planet
Hi, I was with Pure Planet last year, paid monthly by dd, I moved to Octupus last July, got a final bill of just over £400 from PP which I just assumed they would take through DD (they messed up initial billing which is why so high) and I moved on. This week I got an email from the administrators saying I still owe that debt and that I should pay. I understand that I should pay for what I used but to be hit with this out of the blue after so long and through their own mismanagement of my account seems off. What is my position, do I just have to fork out now to these administrators or what? thanks.

Yes you do. The debt is owed and it isnt an old one either.
Surely if you assumed they would take it by DD you still have the money sat there anyway?0 -
You need to pay. Surely you realised they hadn't taken the money?0

Thank you for the comment. Whether I have the money there is irrelevant.emmajones1976 said:Yes you do. The debt is owed and it isnt an old one either.

Thank you for the comment. No I didn't and that's not the point.TheMilkmansDad said:You need to pay. Surely you realised they hadn't taken the money?0 -
Thats lovely. However you have been told the answer. You got the bill and it hasnt been paid, therefore it is due. OFGEM back billing rules dont apply here.0
