Hi all, I purchased an item and paid straight away on the 29th November and the seller posted on the 30th November.
I gave it till Monday and contacted him to say that the items hasn't been received.
How long is the norm for someone to reply? I don't want to bombard him with email, but this is getting on my nerves now, and I want to know how we can rectify the problem before I have to purchase another one.

Hi , I know Royal Mail don't class anything as lost until 15 working days have past so that would take you up to 21st Dec . How did you pay ? If you paid by paypal open a dispute up against the seller though to get their attention even though the 15 working days have not past .Baby Thomas born 3 months early by emergency section on 21/1/09 weighing 1lb 15ozs .
Thomas came home after 3 months and 2 days in hospital weighing 5lb 15ozs
Thomas weighed 21lb 4ozs on his 1st birthday , a total weight gain of 18lbs 5ozs !

Make sure you have sent the email via Ebay messages (ie through the contact member on item page), if by normal email, filters can stop them getting through. I'd say if they are a regular seller a 24 hour period is more than enough for them to answer.
If they don't answer a second email get their contact details and give them a ring. Go through advanced search (at top of each Ebay page next to search box) and click on 'Find contact information' you need item number and user-id to get the details.
If you (still) want the item, I'd try and contact the seller before opening a Paypal dispute, they may just refund you from that (or worse make you wait for Paypal to refund you!).
There could be any number of reasons why the seller hasn't been in touch, some beyond their control, *stuff* happens..0 -
I would try & contact a seller though eBay say maybe twice, if they do not respond then open a paypal dispute, that normally gets a reaction.
Or as said above maybe give them a phone call.0 -
Thanks all. I did try to get contact information, but kept coming up with an error, so I opened a dispute. Hopefully they'll respond soon.
I did contact them twice through, actually three times, one was responding to my request to leave feedback and the other two were with regards to the item not showing up
