Getting sound to an analog amp from my new Samsung TV

I've bought a new Samsung TV model UE55AU8000KXXU and I want to connect it to my Bose speakers via a small amplifier.
Previously I connected to my amp via the headphone socket of the TV and connecting to the amp via phono sockets.
This new TV has no headphone socket but I understand I can connect via the HDMI2 socket which has some fancy feature (eArc?) for taking audio out to another device. The problem is it's digital audio and my amp is analog.
I was recommended to get one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/HDMI-Audio-Extractor-60Hz-embed/dp/B07TZRXKYG/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
It doesn't seem to work so far but its instructions are indecipherable to me.
Another problem is that the menu on the TV only seems to offer to send out sound via the TV's speaker, optical or a bluetooth speaker, I can't seem to get it so send it via this fancy HDMI2 socket
I looked at the feedback for this device on Amazon and everyone seems to be talking in an obscure language I can't make head or tail of - I'm not scared of a bit of tech but this stuff is just on another level!
Can anyone please suggest a way forward

I use a Bluetooth receiver on my ancient hi-fi to get music from my phone, that should work as your TV seems to have Bluetooth.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.1

What inputs does your amp have - is it just phono or does it have optical as well?
If your amp is just that - an amp with only analogue in, then if your TV doesn't have analogue audio out then you will need an external DAC.
Feed the DAC with optical (digital) from your TV and then take the analogue out of the DAC into your amp.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PROZOR-Digital-Converter-Support-Multi-channel-dp-B07PGCZT45/dp/B07PGCZT45/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
Or you can pay more for a better DAC and better sound quality - search Amazon for 'external DAC'
Or ditto by buying a bluetooth receiver (this contains a DAC), feeding it with bluetooth digital signal from the TV and taking the analogue out into your amp.0 -

eARC, and its predecessor ARC, is a way to pass audio back to a source at the same time as video and audio are going up the cable to the TV.
Whilst I know in principle what it does the exact wizardry of how it does it is beyond my technical knowledge however the device you linked to says "no arc" at one point in its description. On the same page there are "other products" and some of those explicitly mention support for ARC. Wont recommend any of them in particular as they are all rather unbranded no name devices that are at risk of having issues with HDCP etc
I'd be more tempted to use blutooth or optical (personally the later) in which case you need a receiver or DAC. Amazon will sell budget unbranded items and for optical they should be functional else RicherSounds offer a variety of options covering a wide range of prices.
Give the 2022 TVs have been announced and are not far off being released hopefully you got a very good price on the TV (1 -
Beware that bluetooth sill likely involve a significant dekay to the sound sent via it. In bad cases it will show up as a sync problem between sound and vision. If dustracting you might be abke to adjust the delays between sound and vision in settings - if your tv has that facility!

You might need to enable ARC in a menu on the TV to get HDMI audio out from there
If you have an optical out, Amazon have a host of optical - stereo analogue converters for £12 or so. That's if your amp is analogue only.
If the amp has a digital optical input, simply connect optical out from TV to optical in on amp. If digital in on the amp is a coaxial S/PDIF, again - converter from Amazon.0 -
I got one of these:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/PROZOR-Digital-Converter-Support-Multi-channel-dp-B07PGCZT45/dp/B07PGCZT45/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
and it's doing exactly what I want, optical cable from the TV to the box and phono lead from box to amp. Nice to have the big sound back from my Bose speakers to match the big picture of my 55 inch TV!2
