Hermes Delivery to wrong Address

I once had an Ebay customer tell me he hadn't received his parcel.  I (eventually) got hold of Hermes who told me they had a photo of the delivery, the GPS put the van in the right place and even that the delivery driver remembered personally handing over the parcel - that was strange as the photo showed it behind a bin.

Long story short, I refunded the buyer who, very honestly, later told me that after 6 days a neighbour 5 houses away had found a soggy package addressed to my buyer behind his bin!

Never believe a word Hermes tell you, if they tell you the grass is green just double check!!  They make getting in touch with them almost impossible.  I started a claim for a very badly damaged briefcase on 20th January and I'm still waiting to hear from them, in the meantime I'm £50 down.

Amazon order, delivered by Hermes. 
Value of item was £135.
I live at number 22.

Hermes stated they delivered, and item was 'signed for'.
GPS co-ordinates showed item was delivered to number 2!
Image showed a white package - whereas seller had previously stated it was a brown box with 'Fragile' tape across it!

Luckily I know the person at number 2. 
Text him and he stated nothing had been received.

Contacted seller, who stated thats where the GPS shows it was delivered, but either way it was to the wrong address so they were placing a claim with Hermes. 

Around 10 days later I received a call from Number 2 - they had found a soggy wet package in their garden beside a bush!
Turns out the delivery guy had thrown the package over the garden wall (which is quite high) and marked the item as delivered, taking an image of a completely different item by the wall!

Didn't even open the item - sent it straight back (still a bit soggy) for refund!
