  • I hate it when a seller sells an item with a tiny photo and list the item as brand new condition and then when it arrives there's a scratch on the phone.

I bought a phone from a seller called s.gifstephenh5462 and he advertised the phone as 'Brand New Condition'. The phone was far from being new and looked like Rambo had been using it.

When I enquired about a refund he said I would have to return it and he will give me a partial refund, less 25% restock fee. I decided to keep the phone, it was not worth the hassle.

It is not to late to start a "significantly not as described" claim with ebay and PayPal and report the seller for selling fakes.

    Throw the book at him/her.

Juat to confirm that it is NOT possible to change feedback once left, all that can be done under certain circumstances is to withdraw it completely ..but if you do that you don't get a second chance at leaving any. Therefore when you left your neutral they obviously hadn't left any feedback and were then able to neg you.

However, regardless of feedback issue, I would claim back through paypal and see what they have to say. It is illegal to sell fake goods in the UK.

bought a top for daughter it said it was D&g but when it arrived it was a fake but nice so i gave neutral feedback saying nice top but didnt have correct tags or holograms, the seller then sends me a message saying given you negative feedback by mistake (they had changed feedback) would have given you refund looked at my feedback seller says give neutral feedback refund given whatmore could i do.... a bit different to what they sent me i didnt say anything bad about top only that didnt think it legit as discribed (but in alot nicer way) why do people feel a need to be vendictive over neutral feedback could understand if negative or not legit reason but this is crazy

You can leave follow up feedback - i'd put 'item clearly a fake, but leaves me a retaliatory neg - beware'

Well done, if the seller has previous for selling fakes then there account could be terminated. It's people like that who ruin it for everyone else!!!

If their account is indeed suspended then apply to have the negative feedback withdrawn by e-bay.
  • from what i understood, you cannot sell 'fakes' on ebay.

I only know cos i tried to sell a bag i bought. I very stupidly and ignorantly thought i was getting a brill bargin which i could sell on.

I listed the item then got an email from ebaya few hours later saying they had compared the item to a genuine product and that mine was fake. It went on to say that if i tried to do this again my account would be terminated.

Ended up keeping the bag cos i liked it anyway but i am sooooo over cautious about fake stuff now

also report it to D&G, have a look on the website, might be alot of hassle but trust me if they are anything like the company i work for they will get onto ebay (if they haven't already a department monitoring ebay auctions). I would image D&G would be interested in the seller and once they have signed a statement with ebay, address details etc can be handed over. Advise the seller that you will be doing this aswell, do you have there address, they could be ripping d&g off for a fortune, and they could well have links (normally in china) to a large distributor.

last thing i wanted when i was selling fakes (replicas i nicely put it ) was the might of a fashion house on my case especially with their expensive lawyers....
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!
  • i would report it...i recently bought nike trainers which were fake....claimed money back through paypal and with the help of trading standards confirming they were counterfeit got my money back....however i suspect this seller has been banned or suspended as they arent selling anymore( i reported them for selling fakes and feedback manipulation as they wouldnt refund me unless i left pos feedback) and guess what 3 new users have bidded on my items...not paid for them or recieved them yet left neg feedback saying my items are dodgey ....wonder who that would be

What a vindictive so-and-so - I'd get a new selling ID if I were you.
