best tarrif for disabled people?

good morning everyone,

i know that things are crazy at the moment with energy bills, but i was hoping to get some advice on a new supplier, i have recently moved to suffolk and the eon next flex they seem to have put me on seems ridiculous to me, i was put on this as i moved in on sept 22nd, it was a new build, i am a single person with disabilities needing more water but i am pretty basic on everything else, i no longer work and compared to my brothers bills i am paying nearly double and he has a family of three. i am working with citizens advice but they said to look on u switch which currently says it has no information on switching in my area if anyone has any ideas for good tarrifs or any extra help available i would be very grateful for any help... thank you

What is the name of the tariff they have put you on?  What are the kWh rates and standing charges?

When you move into a property you should go onto a "deemed tariff" which will be a Standard Variable Tariff (SVT) and at the Ofgem price cap.  Unfortunately there isn't anything better than the price cap at the moment - and the cap will increase in April.

Being disabled doesn't really change anything although you should ask the supplier to be put on their Priority Service Register so there's a flag on your account.

He already said, Eon Next Flex, which is the SVR. There isnt a better rate.

What's used for room heating and hot water?
If you are using electricity because there's no gas it will be expensive.  Perhaps roughly twice as expensive if you're using storage heaters on Economy 7, or three times if you're using panel radiators on daytime electricity.
Check whether you're entitled to benefits such as Warm Home Discount, Cold Weather Payments etc.

I think you missed the boat is September when there were still some reasonable fixes available. That was your opportunity to switch from Eon Next

@daniel-2412  Now you've been in your property for 4 months you should be able to work out what it's costing you.  As it's a new property the meters will be Smart and the consumption info will be in your on-line account.
