It's up to date and relevant and tells you when the MOT for your vehicle expires. Then you know what to do.
We were discussing that those dates are not as expected, they appear to have been deferred by a few months, with no notice given3 -
Is it anything to do with the extra 6 months vehicle owners got on their MOT due to Covid and a mix up due to that
Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time1 -
Don't think so, because last year's MOT was at about the right time.1

As an update, I mentioned this to my wife...
Her thoughts:
Get a screenshot of the vehicle enquiry site saying your MOT is later than expected. That way, if they silently bring it forward without telling you, at least you have something to point to...3 -

An update on this as I have now received a reply to the email I sent the DVA.
Apparently..."Your vehicle was awarded a further 5 month exemption because it was aged 4-9 at the time that exemptions were awarded."
So the new extended mot date is correct but still none the wiser as to why the 5 month exemption was applied and why I wasn't notified it was happening in the first place.
