It's 11 months since Hannahmach last visited the forum.
I think that I will write to driver and licensing Agency (DVLA) data office to try and get them banned from having access to the DVLA data.
Has been tried thousands of times. Don't waste your time.

If you want help with your parking ticket, please read the NEWBIES FAQ Announcement, first post, to get you underway. If you have any questions thereafter, please open a new thread of your own.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Absolute con artists. We parked in Padstow Harbour Car Park over New Year paying for 4 days car parking entering our vehicle registration into their machine and displaying our ticket slipped into the dashboard on the drivers side. A few days after arriving back we received a PCN advising us that as we hadn’t displayed a valid ticket we were being fined. The picture provided was blurry as the windscreen was misted over but I could see where the ticket was, their supporting evidence on appeal showed a close up of the passenger side of the dashboard but not of the drivers. Fortunately still had the ticket so did a reconstruction and sent this off to them - but the appeal has been declined. The van hadn’t moved since we initially paid for parking so had clearly been checked on several occasions. These people are rip off con merchants who have got you by the short and curlies - they’ve reduced the fine to £20 knowing full well I’m not going to risk an appeal to the IAS because if that failed I’d have to pay £100. What a complete farce. In future I’ll be photographing my placement of parking tickets - I’m not being conned again.

It's not a fine and you don't pay £20 or anything to these 'con artists'.

IAS is not a risk because you still don't pay if you lose.  Stop thinking you have to pay.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Just received a “Parking Charge” from Alliance Parking of Newquay, Cornwall despite paying for ticket etc. On their FAQs they state “the tariff applies from the time of entry until the time of exit; it does not start from the time of your transaction” which means EVERYONE is liable to a charge unless they buy their ticket BEFORE entering the car park?

Just ignore the notoriously aggressive idiots unless they file a court claim later.  If they do, THEN (and only then) start a new thread.

Do not start a new thread now. No need.
You need no help at this stage as there os no appeal worth trying and you should already know from reading the fourth post of the NEWBIES FAQS thread, to ignore the'scary letters' demanding £170.

Get on with your life and don't respond.

No telling them who was driving. No expecting reason or fairness from this bunch of chancers. There is zero customer service ethic demonstrated by all accounts seen.  Don't bang your head against their (well-reported ex-clamper mentality) brick wall.
