Luckily there is a shared access passage way between the houses on my aunts side which they cannot build over , it just the size the extension - the overall length of the actual house is only 8 metres .

Check the plans online, just in case there is another.
It only takes minutes.
It should also post any objections made by neighbours.
I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

It's an application under permitted development, they don't need to provide full plans as it's permitted as long as no one complains about the principle...
There should be no windows on your side, or if there are, you put a fence up immediately.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

The neighbours have started the job and aunties she is getting worried now , she spoke to the neighbour who persuaded her everything would ok as the sun rose on the otherside of the house so would not loose any sunlight and there would be windows.
They have dug already layed about 4ft of bricks which run approximately 6" to my aunts fence .
I have looked online and it says that the maximum height allowed is 3 metres if within 2 metres or a property but the plans 6 metre deep - height 3.8 , eaves 2.8m , is this allowed ?
Another concern she has a shared access alleyway which runs between the terrace houses ( boundary line runs down the middle of the alley ) , as the neighbour has built up to the fence they cannot access so they put a gate on the front entrance .
