Freelance designer for Diy-kitchens

Hi
I would like to order  a new kitchen from diy-kitchens.com, used their design tool  but don't want to take responsibility for the design in case I miss something . Can I get a freelance designer somewhere to help me to order ? I tried Wren ,Magnet and Howdens but they don't send plans nowdays, just 3D images . Also won't price match - Magnet timber kitchen costs about twice as much as  Diy-kitchens one
Thanks

Will one of the suppliers give you a list of required items that you could just feed into the DIY planner? If you use exact measurements and the DIY planner, they will check over your design before you order. Also the Houzz UK forumites will critique your design and make suggestions. If you are looking for a paid service you could ask for recommendations on local FB pages.

But we can do the critique here just as well. If you want brutal appraisals, there is always mumsnet :o

you could just ask someone at DIY kitchens to check it and see if you've missed anything? I've done that before and they did alter the plan and add some things on which I missed

I guess the likes of Wren etc. won't price-match the online supplier because they are taking a responsibility for the design and not missing something out, so a service level that the online supplier does not offer.

When we did our kitchens from DIY Kitchen someone there looked over the design and questioned a few things I had done which as very useful. The biggest issue I had (which may now have been fixed) is that there was no link between their designer and their ordering system. I ended up having to print out the parts list from the designer and go through it line by line .... even then I managed to order one unit wrongly.
Have been very impressed with the actual kitchen though and their after sales service, though only by email, was pretty good.

When we dealt with Howdens they sent a designer out and made suggestions on layout.  They also provided floor plans on-line as well as the 3D images.  Has that changed?
