Get Kutchenhaus to design, then just buy from DIYkitchens?

Options
Hi all,

we've had a design done from Kutchenhaus, but it's expensive. Is there any reason we shouldn't just copy the design out onto the DIYkitchens planner, and order from there?

Not actually done it yet because the planner looks like it'll take a bit of time to get right, but by the looks of their prices it should come out cheaper.

Cheers

    can't see why not.
the DIY kitchens planner is a bit glitchy and sometimes won't do what you want, but just do your best and then send them and message saying what it won't do and somebody will go in and fix it for you

It's normal when going for a new kitchen to get several designs by competing suppliers. Some of them are going to be let down, they are used to it. Also if you get several designs it's quite normal to nick any good ideas from the rejected ones.

You also get to see who the lousy designers are.... I had some fool plan a kitchen and put a dishwasher right next to a door - Having a small person running through that door and smacking into the DW door doesn't bear thinking about....

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

I have been to 3 places so far, and not one of them has come up with a decent design, and I have had to push them into what I believe to be a good design.  To be fair, it is a pain of a room to design round, but surely I have not designed the best to get out of it, I was hoping for some inspiration.

You have to take full responsibility for the plan and the order; a seemingly small deviation discovered at the point of installation can cost you a lot of time.
