NI record: several years not full, still being checked

  • I should add that it is HMRC on 0300 200 3500 that I need to call. Future pensions couldn’t deal with it, but at least I got what sounds like good advice. I’ve been trying to deal with it for years. Very stressful when you want to stop work next year and on paper it looks like I’m 4 years short, but I’m not because I’ve paid.

FPC can only deal with what is shown on your NI record, HMRC are responsible for maintaining that record.  You need to push back on HMRC to update your record.  If they are unresponsive go to your MP, it is amazing how that can magically get things done.  HMRC are in need of a good kick up the backside.
