I visited the car park twice and was fined from first entry to last exit

Hi - I received a PCN from civil Enforcement because I twice visited my local supermarket on the same day. I have evidence so will successfully appeal but my question on here is - shouldnt they have checks in place to cover this or whether the equipment was working that day before they issue an invoice with menaces? I also received a redirect fee from my car leasing company - any advice on what action I can take against them? this has seriously inconvenienced me and I am sure people who might not be fortunate enough to have evidence might have suffered the same fate.

Yup, it’s a common complaint with multiple visits.  Regarding your lease company, its in the terms and conditions you signed when taking out the lease.  My leasing company used to pay the companies and then charge me for doing so.

Why would anybody in their right mind write software that did this deliberately, unless of course they were told to by their bosses (the PPC)?  When I used to write software (I don't now, I am cured - I retired) there would have been tremendous multiple jam-ups in some large industrial food processing plants if my software had not recognised separate units going passed my detectors or the same unit entering and then exiting!
