Hermes have lost three parcels.
I have had to refund the eBay buyer following eBay rules as longer than 20 days.
I spoke to Hermes and they are saying parcel lost so fill a claim form in which I did.
40 days later they have found the parcel and delivered it to the buyer.
I have spoke to them again and they refuse to do anything.
Where do I stand as I have now had to refund the buyer and they have delivered the parcel.
Thanks

So you completed the claim form and were not issued any compensation etc for the claim - instead they found the item and delivered??
I guess all you can do at this point is to contact the buyer and see if they will process payment for the item again {hoping its someone trustworthy!), or return the item to you (at your expense).....
Hermes are terrible. Cheap. But I avoid them whenever I can. Not worth the hassle.0 -
If you kick off about it enough, they will refund you. I've had this happen before and they did refund, eventually. You do have to be persistent though.0

i am a hermes courier and have been for 20 years about 12 years ago i purchased 2 crash helmets from e-bay when they arrived they were too small so i returned them through hermes the delivery address was "unit2 killkerry rd n,i "however they were delivered to no2 killkerry rd unit 2 was a bike shop no 2 was an empty bungalow ,apparently someone in the garden signed for them, tried chasing it up with hermes ,i told them i was a courier and if i made a mistake i would put it right ,was told they had got a sig so their part of contract had been fulfilled i said they were worth over £250 and i had paid correct insurance and they had not delivered to correct address i said i would be taking it further and when i said that the operator was quite nasty she actually said to me DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DO THAT WITH YOU WORKING FOR HERMES AFTER ALL JOBS ARE HARD TO COME BY AT THE MOMENT0

Hermes have also lost three parcels of mine. Well, when I say lost, one went to a different address, the buyer says it’s not her doorway and two are showing as collected, but nothing else in two weeks. Goodness knows where they are.
I have refunded one, the other two are understandably kicking off and wanting refunds.
when I go to their website I go round in circles and HOLLY is automated and gets you nowhere.
could someone advise how I get to live chat please, I’d really appreciate it, thank you.0 -
The last couple of "photo evidence" I have from Hermes has been pic of buyers open door with legs but no sign of the parcel.
Thought that was the whole point of photo evidence that you get to see the actual parcel being delivered. Has anyone else had this?0 -
I had photo evidence of a door and parcel but the buyer said it wasn’t her door. I refunded, but who knows if they’re telling the truth. Since covid and deliveries being left, it seems rife.
I’m feeling really fed up with selling at the moment. I’m also not liking the rudeness in messages from buyers who’ve not received their parcels. They can see from the tracking that it’s been collected from me and I go out of my way trying to resolve it and keeping them updated. It ends up with me refunding buyers but Hermes not refunding me, hence really needing a live chat or real person link.0 -
The one time I had a real problem with Hermes, typing something along the lines of 'I need to speak to a human' repeatedly into the chat helped. I can't remember exactly what happened afterwards as it was a while ago.
We don't usually have parcel problems but one recently showed a delivery at our neighbour's side door; we were fortunate we are acquainted with them so we knew where it was! That was DPD, I think.
The legs might be to show a human took it in rather than the parcel just being left outside? Would make more sense to show the parcel as well though!3 -
LIKE MANY OF YOU I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH HERMES NOW CALLED EVRI AS IF A NAME CHANGE WILL IMPROVE THINGS. WHEN IT GOES OK ITS FINE BUT WHEN IT DOESN'T THEY DON'T WANT TO KNOW, WAIT FOREVER ON A PHONE LISTENING TO COLDPLAY, YOU MIGHT EVEN GET A NUMBER WITH AN ESCALATION BUT NOTHING WILL HAPPEN UNTIL YOU CONTACT THE CEO martijn.delange@hermes-europe.co.uk SO EMAIL AWAY. HE DOESN'T WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU, TRY IT. ALSO IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS AND WISH TO GO TO THE TOP YOU CAN LOOK UP ANY CEO ON CEO.COMTHEY ARE ALL LISTED THERE, EMAILS, ADDRESSES, TEL NUMBERS AND WHO IS IN CHARGE. IT'LL MAKE YOU FEEL BETTER IF NOTHING ELSE. HAPPY PESTERING !
