Switching bank accounts - account statements?

Hi

I've finally switched bank accounts last night thanks to the latest MSE email, after being fed up with Smile for about five years.

A hopefully not too stupid question if I may - what happens to my old online bank statements when the account has switched?  Smile are notorious for issuing one a week sometimes, so there are a LOT (I recently had to provide three months worth of statements for a tenancy agreement and it came to 27 pages).

I am concerned I won't be able to access them once the account is closed, can I request the Co-op send them to me, or will I still be able to access them online?

thanks

Rachael

Best bet will be to download them yourself, assuming Smile support this, before you lose access, unless they confirm to you that you'll have access to them for a certain period of time (it certainly wouldn't be infinite) post-switch.
