What's the silliest way you've ruined a credit/debit card?

Had a replacement card in the post to replace an expired Barclaycard, told MrsSam to cut up her old card.
She cut up the new one.2 -
Washing machine then tumble dryer (2017??). Ceases to be recognised in ATMs and warps slightly too.0

One of them, completely devoid of clothing, came over and presented her rear end. I thought she was looking for payment. I took out my credit card and swiped it down the middle. How wrong I was and ended up being unceremoniously removed by this rather large gentleman.
I know, the replacement was contactless. That would have avoided all the unpleasantness!

Not specifically ref. credit/debit cards - but over the years we've accumulated various same size bits of plastic from various sources, such as Nectar cards or Tesco clubcards - these are ideal for putting in the electrical supply activation slot in hotel rooms when not in the accommodation........keeps the air conditioning on !!!Sometimes the maid will remove it, so I wait until the room has been serviced and put it back.1

I had a habit for a while to carry a debit card in my trouser/jean back pocket, just the card as my wallet was so bulky. I went to Eindhoven for a holiday and put it inside the ATM, inserted it, took money I needed out then as ATM was spitting card back out, it got stuck in the machine and swallowed it. The fact that I had it in my back pocket managed to slightly warp in that it wasnt 100% flat. Luckily I had a spare card, thank God, but never did put cards in my pocket. lesson learned.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
