cable wireless router advice

Hi Can anyone advise on the best wireless router to buy for my virgin cable broadband as we were on non cable before and have netgear router. The reason I am not asking virgin is that I am sick of their call centres no one seems to understand any simple requests you make thanks shrewdal

We have this netgear router for our Virgin cable and I set my Mum's VM cable up with this Linksys router.

I would have thought that you'd be able to use your existing router - just plug the ethernet cable from your modem into the appropriate port on the router (may be labelled WAN or Internet).

adsl routers don't have a wan port, just a telephone cable socket

if you were happy with the netgear, get a wgr614v7

Using a Netgear 614 [v4] as I type.
Got it from a private seller on ebay ... works perfectly.

Another vote for the WGR614, nice neat lookign unit, works very well, easy to set up and also lots of people use them so you cna alwyas get support.

i used the netgear 614 cable router (wireless) from aria at 28 quid for my DD ntl BB.
it works ok with no probs at all. easy set up too.
