Recently had smart meters installed. BG did the Electric first (a Landis and Gyr E470 type 5424) and supplied a badged version of the Geo Trio II iHD.  EDF installed gas meter a few days later and set it up to also use the BG supplied IHD.

Got a number of issues and wondered if anyone else with same IHD was suffering the same issues (or had come across a resolution)

First frustrating thing is the absolutely appalling range between meter and IHD.  If I have it more than a metre or so away from the meter, even though the signal strength indicator has 2 or 3 bars, it stops receiving data from the meter.  I find this ridiculous as I can't have the IHD in a suitable place to monitor it.  Even my very old battery powered EON Energy Fit clip on device could transmit data 10 metres or so.  The meter cupboard is fibreglass and, although now internal to the house, is on what would have been an external wall.   What sort of range are other people with this type of IHD getting?

The second annoying thing is that, although it shows Energy Now (for Electric) with correctly factored figures e.g. 225W when just baseload or 3.125 kWh when kettles on, the Energy Today screen shows the consumption as a factor of 100 to low e.g. for total of 5.250 kWh it will just show 0.005 kWh.  It does the same oh the Electric History screens as well e.g. on Hourly usage screen it will show Total Today 0.005 kWh (although oddly it shows below that normal usage 9.8 kWh!).
(Same issue with the Live usage figures on the BG app by the way).

The readings for the Gas however are fine and in the format on all of these screens that you would expect.

I have attached some photos to make this clearer.

Does anybody else suffer this?  Is there a setting in the Engineer tab (which I can't access as it needs a PIN) or even on the meter that needs changing?  Is it is just a faulty IHD?

I'll go on Chat later and try and explain this to them, although I don't hold out much hope of them understanding, but thought I would just check here first as I know there are knowledgeable people and ex meter readers on here that might give me a pointer.

By the way the Electric meter is sending the right readings to BG.

Thanks
