UKPC PCN - ZZPS Debt Collection Notice

Dear all,
First and foremost thank you for creating, maintaining and updating this little gem on the internet. I hope you realise you are the only hope for a lot of people who face fraudulent charges raised by greedy parking space operators. With this in mind, I have read over most of the Newbie threat, however, I am struggling to apply it to my situation and I wanted to see if I have any recourse. I will be as concise as possible to not waste your time.
Factual Circumstances:
On the night of the 16th October 2021 I felt a pain in my stomach and nausea so I pulled over into a famous store's parking lot to gather my breath and refocus. I knew that this particular parking lot would be quite and there will place in the dark. I was genuinely worried I might throw up so I sought the darkness. I was there for a brief moment, however, upon getting out of the car to grab fresh air I noticed a sign which stated that no cars are to be parked when the store is closed. I also saw there are cameras so I proceeded to move my car. I waited a couple more minutes and left as I did not want to be a nuisance. I did not think much of the situation but I would say about a month later I received a PCN for parking out of hours.
The PCN:
The PCN had a picture of my license plate and my car. I was stopped at this parking lot for a total of 16 minutes (as per the PCN) and my car was on at all times with me being present. I appealed (which was probably a mistake) explaining the above and unsurprisingly my appeal was denied on 30 November 2021. I was further informed that in 35 days the fine will go up to £100.00 and a further £70.00 will be added for debt recovery. During that time I was moving houses and I forgot about this matter.so I did not appeal further. On 12th January I was doing some cleaning and I found the letter denying my appeal at which point I logged in to the UKPC website to make payment. I was willing at that time to sacrifice the £60.00 to just get the matter over with. Unfortunately by that time the amount on the UKPC website was up to £160.00. I am ashamed to say that due to moving out I have lost the PCN or it is somewhere in the house but I just cannot find it!
The ZZPS Letter:
On the next day I received a ZZPS letter demanding that I pay £170.00. I would imagine this letter is a standard template so you've seen it but it essentially states that bailiffs' would be involved if I do not make payment. This is the first correspondence I receive from ZZPS.
My Thoughts:
I am not sure how to proceed given the unfavourable position I've placed myself in by admitting I was the driver that day. My car was in fact placed there after working hours and it is easy to put the fault on me. I should have probably read the signs and not stopped there. Having said this, surely I am not the only one to think a £70.00 charge is ridiculous in the circumstances not to mention that this coupled with the £100.00 fine far outweighs the 16 minute I was stopped at this parking lot. It is just unreasonable. Surely my action was better than stopping on the side of a public road or crashing into someone?
Next actions:
Having read up on the forum, I see the following as my next actions:
(1) Write to the car park owner - see if they can do something.
(2) Write to my PM
(3) Go to the car park to take pictures of the signs.
(4) Contact ZZPS - I wouldn't do this but as I have mentioned I changed addresses and they need to know the new one. I don't want a JID at my old address! Should I say anything else? Perhaps request copy of the PCN, picture of the sign and maybe even a SAR - maybe they don't have my appeal?
(5) Wait for a pre-action letter by solicitors.
Do you guys recommend I do something else? Have you had experience with circumstances similar to mine and what is generally the result? Is there a chance that a Judge my reward them the parking fine but remove any further costs. I am keen to fight this. I do not appreciate the predatory nature. Plus, from what I've seen these cases rarely go over £350.00 so worst case scenario that's what I pay and its still over. Which grounds are generally most successful.
I am sure there is something I am missing but I will keep active to answer any queries you might have.
Thanks,
Jimmy

Your plan looks good. Get a SAR from the PPC too, and rectify your address with them as well.
ZZPS letters are followed by QDR letters. A pile of trash. But if a court claim is tried later on, the odd case we see lost at a hearing, costs about £200, not £350. And losses here are pretty rare.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

WOW another UKPC fake claim.
UKPC have recently been using DCBL for their fakes ..... is this fake love affair with DCBL over ???
DCBL were warned about the UKPC rubbish
ZZPS are the biggest load of crap around ..... well ... them and the other bunch DRP
ZZPS are BPA members and also on the board of the BPA ? WOW YOU SAY, WHAT A SCAM ?
And you'd be right ....... TIME your MP KNOWS ALL ABOUY THIS SCAM ON MOTORISTS
This what I posted a while ago on a similar thread ...
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To put this in perspective for you ....
ZZPS ... are only money scammers, you contacted them BUT NEVER contact them again. POWERLESS
ZZPS... could never instruct there little mates at QDR because it was never their debt
ZZPS... you ignore as they are a pontless ignorant money scammer
QDR ..... in their letter to you, they will tell you who they are acting for ? IT CAN ONLY BE UKPC
QDR .... have they added a fake £60 / £70 to their claim
QDR .... is an offshoot of the disgraced WRIGHT HASSALL SOLICITORS
Please answer
As a footnote here, UKPC have been using another legal recently called DCBL ? Are we to assume they have dumped DCBL ?

I hope you updated your details with the DVLA for both your driving licence and your vehicle V5C. They need to be done separately.
If you haven't already done so, send a rectification notice to the DPA of UKPC, instructing them to erase your old data, replace it with your new address for service, and instruct them to inform all their agents of the same.
Also send an SAR to the DPA of UKPC to obtain all the personal details they have on you, including the original PCN/NTK.

Thanks everyone.
It seems my plan looks good for the moment. I will take on your advice and no doubt update you in due time with any progress on the matter. I will amend my initial post to reflect the appropriate acronym.1 -

You must be talking to your MP on the basis that in one breath the BPA are saying they are driving standards upwards, then allow a board member to drive standards down.
https://parkmaven.com/news/gary-osner-zzps-interview
This is a scam and your MP must follow this up as the BPA are simply not fit for purpose and they must be stripped of their ATA status
The facts are that the previous BPA CEO is now on the sex offenders list for upskirting pictures in a Londo railway station
The current CEO seems oblivious that his wages are being paid by members whose purpose in life is to scam the motorist
