LBC from QDR after I tried to settle debt with ZZPS

Hi everyone, I'm very sorry if this sort of thing has been covered. I have been reading everything on the newbie thread etc and I can't find my answer.

I received a 'pre-legal debt collection notice' from ZZPS in December. It went to an old address because the car was written off about 2 months after this PCN and log book never updated as a result. I updated my driver's license with the DVLA as soon as I moved house. The old address is my mum's house so I managed to get hold of the 'pre-legal' letter, but ZZPS doesn't know that.

The wording on the letter says "If, for any reason, you consider that the amount claimed is not payable by you in whole or in part, then you must contact us immediately" etc etc

I emailed ZZPS in December after receiving the letter to see if I could get the amount reduced on the basis that all the letters from both UKPC and ZZPS went to an old address. No reply on email, no acknowledgement. I even phoned them and spent hours on hold before being asked to key in the reference number. Phone robot didn't recognise the number and disconnected me. After that gave up and thought it would go away seeing as they didn't bother replying to me.

Today, I've had a LBC from QDR Solicitors. I've sent an SAR to UKPC and a letter to QDR notifying them that I deny the debt and updating them with my new address as advised on the newbie thread. But what are my other options here? Seems to me ZZPS have screwed up by passing my debt to a solicitor who has issued a LBC when I did get in contact with them to contest the debt (and I have proof of doing so)?

Any thoughts greatly appreciated. I am liable, so I think I will end up paying but I would like to get the amount reduced if poss on the basis of the above.

Thanks and apologies if this has been answered elsewhere.

The zzps and qdr thing is a sc_m , already explained in the newbies FAQ sticky thread and by coupon mad and others

As you appear to have done a SAR and the notice of hold for advice on debt management , you have nothing to do but await replies and any court claim , because the claimant is still the parking company , they cannot pass it on , but can add sub contractors like zzps and qdr to bamboozle victims like you

Paperwork going to an old address is no Defence , it's probably because you have not updated your V5C at all or in time.

ZZPS haven't passed it to a solicitor.  ZZPS and QDR are in each others' pockets, by previous accounts.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

The V5C wasn't updated because very shortly after this PCN was issued the car was written off.
  • To put this in perspective for you ....

ZZPS ... are only money scammers, you contacted them BUT NEVER contact them again. POWERLESS
ZZPS... could never instruct there little mates at QDR because it was never their debt
ZZPS... you ignore as they are a pontless ignorant money scammer

QDR ..... in their letter to you, they will tell you who they are acting for ?  IT CAN ONLY BE UKPC
QDR .... have they added a fake £60 / £70 to their claim
QDR  .... is an offshoot of the disgraced WRIGHT HASSALL SOLICITORS

    Please answer

As a footnote here, UKPC have been using another legal recently called DCBL ?   Are we to assume they have dumped DCBL ?

QDR are full of s**t! Total scum artistes!

If its their standard letter it will be full of baseless guff and threats including:

"Out client wants to secure a CCJ against you" - Total BS as you only get a CCJ if you do not engage with court, an ex clamper parking company has no authority to get a CCJ when the matter hasn't even been nowhere near a court - just as their threats of Sending Bailiffs over is complete guff and that they will destroy your credit rating thus wrecking your life and career options etc  etc.

     IGNORE - all complete BS!!!!

Report them to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. The QDR brand is an offshoot of disgraced bent Wright & Hassell solicitor firm.

Send them a Subject Acccess Request for EVERYTHING they have on you. They are very quick at deleting peoples details and Records from their system. In 2021 i sent them an SAR with my details and their reference number to which they've got "no record of" despite sending me a Threatogram in 2019 which ZZPS disclosed to me in my SAR to them.  How convenient. I bet if people don't bite or pay then they wipe it quick to cover up their lies, unprofessionalism, bent actions and nefarious practices !

The newbise specifically tells you to ignore DCAs.  If you have not read them you would be wise to do so.  Have you complained to your MP?

Many people will not understand about Wright Hassall .... A few years ago, the BPA were in trouble, and owed London councils who in those days acted as an appeals service like POPLA ,,, A LOT OF MONEY

The BPA had brain failure and took on Wright Hassall solicitors as the appeals service which was nicknamed WHOPLA.    What did Wright Hassall do ?   They rejected appeals and then went on to sue the people.

That is why they are disgraced and nothing will change that.  The BPA were complete fools and that probably started the fact that the BPA cannot be trusted and that remains today
