Parking Eye Mecca Bingo

Grateful for any support with this.

My partner visited Mecca Bingo in Oldham August 2021. The car park is free for Mecca Bingo customers. My partner advises she was told on the door someone would come round during the bingo to take her reg plate, which didn’t happen. My partner advises she forgot to do whilst she was in there.

She then received a parking ticket from parking eye which she ignored along with all subsequent letters and has now received a county court judgment letter, we appealed this but Parking Eye rejected this and have suggested mediation.

We rung Mecca Bingo who have said they have never collected reg plates manually and that there is a machine in the hall where you key in your reg plate. The manager has said if it was sooner he could of contacted parking eye who usually drop the parking ticket at that stage.

I really have no idea what to do now.

Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

The court letter was a court claim , not a CCJ , J meaning judgment , not happened yet

You cannot appeal a court claim N1 form , so the defendant must have submitted a defence , let us see a copy of the defence and when was it submitted ?

Up to now she ( as victim and as defendant ) has gone about this all wrong , ( ignoring the letters was extremely foolish and is why PE issued a court claim ) the keypad inside the venue is typical of many clubs , pubs and restaurants , rarely would anyone come round taking VRM details

Tell her to login to MCOL , check the claim history and copy it below too , it's only a few lines

Also show us pictures of the signage

Plan A would have worked , if done at the time ( the manager was correct )

He still can.  Ask him to try the email.

The defendant was a paying patron of the commercial establishment , so it seems to me that the manager should make every effort possible to get the customer's PCN cancelled , even at this stage , looks better to a judge too 🤔
