Terms and Conditions for the Hotels.com UCL ”Round of 16” Competition (the "Prize Draw")

By entering the Prize Draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions (these "Terms and Conditions"). Promotional materials relating to the Prize Draw, including all information on how to enter the Prize Draw, also form part of these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between any terms referred to in such promotion materials and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions take precedence.

1.       The promoter of this Prize Draw is Hotels.com, LP, a Texas limited partnership having its registered office at 5400 LBJ Freeway, Suite 500, Dallas, TX 75240, USA ("Hotels.com").

2.       Participants must be at least 18 years old, legally resident within the United Kingdom, and a Hotels.com Rewards program member. If you are not a member, you must become one before your entry can be included in the prize draw. Membership is free. If the winner is found to be ineligible, Hotels.com reserves the right to award the prize to another participant and to require the return of any prize already awarded.

3.       The Prize Draw commences at 00:00 am UK time on 19 January 2022 and all entries must be received by 23:59 pm UK time on the closing date of 26 January 2022.

4.       Entry to the Prize Draw is free; no purchase is necessary. To participate, visit http://uk.hotels.com/page/ucl-member-competition/?pos=HCOM_UK&locale=en_GB and complete the form by entering your name, email address and Hotels.com Rewards program member number before the end of the Entry Period. There is a limit of one (1) entry per entrant during Entry Period. The use of an agency or any automated system to enter is strictly prohibited, and Partner reserves the right to disqualify any entries received through such methods, as determined by Partner, in its sole discretion. By entering, you indicate your full agreement to these Official Rules and Partner’s decisions regarding the sweepstakes, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements in these Official Rules.

5.       The Prize Draw will be promoted on at the following URL address: (the "Website"). Use of script, macro or any automated system to enter the Prize Draw is prohibited and entries made (or which appear to have been made) using any such system may be treated as void. Any illegible, incomplete or fraudulent entries will be rejected. Participants may make a maximum of 1 entry into the Prize Draw regardless of Entry channel for the Prize Draw. Any entries in addition to this may be disqualified.

6.       Up to one (1) winner will receive a Grand Prize of 1 pair of tickets to the ”Round of 16” UCL match between Chelsea FC and LOSC Lille in London on 22 February 2022, including pitch-side experience, one (1) night hotel stay for two (2) people and a pre-paid credit card to cover transportation (i.e., rail/train travel) to the game (as determined by Sponsor) (“Grand Prize”). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize is £850.

If travel or other restrictions prevent attendance or utilization of the Grand Prize as described above, an alternate prize (“Alternate Prize”) will be offered. The Alternate Prize will be a £850 Hotels.com gift card.

Up to one (1) runner-up will receive one (1) UEFA Champions League Final 2021 match used Chelsea football shirt signed by Ziyech. Up to ten (10) runners up will each receive one (1) Hotels.com reward night (shirt and Reward Night are each a “Runner Up Prize”). Reward night will be deposited to a winner’s account within fourteen (14) days of confirmation of winner status. Shirt will be sent to a winner within four (4) weeks of confirmation.​ ARV of Runner Up Prize is £1,800 (£300 for shirt and £150 for Hotels.com reward night). The reward nights are subject to and a winner must abide by Hotels.com booking terms and conditions which are available on the site.

Any prize details not specified above will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. A prize may not be transferred and must be accepted as awarded. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or prize components. You may not request cash or a substitute prize; however, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize with another prize of equal or greater value. The prize is subject to and a winner must abide by the Sponsor’s booking terms and conditions which are available on the site. Total Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of all prizes is £2,650.

Grand Prize Winner and his/her guest are expected to exercise all reasonable care for their own health and safety and for that of all other persons at all times during the event, in particular by complying with any health and safety legislation and regulations and complying with any instructions as provided as well as complying with the ticket Terms and Conditions as provided by UEFA. A winner is responsible for paying all associated costs that are not specifically stated in these Terms and Conditions, including (where applicable) meals and beverages, gratuities, souvenirs, and all other incidentals. A winner is also personally responsible for any personal or incidental expenses and any VAT, national and/or local tax liabilities incurred in claiming or using the prize. The prize is as stated and is non-exchangeable and non-transferable. There is no cash or other alternative to the prize in whole or in part. By participating in the Prize Draw, participants agree that the prize is awarded on an "as is" basis, and that neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies, make any representations or warranties of any nature with respect to the prize.

7.       The winners of the Prize Draw will be the first twelve (12) names chosen at random from all complete, eligible, properly submitted entries received before the end of the applicable closing date.

8.       The winners will be notified no later than 5:00 pm 2 February 2022 via the email address submitted upon entry. A winner may be required to submit valid identification before receiving their prize. Hotels.com will then email a winner directly providing further prize details. If any e-mails or social media messages to a winner are returned as undeliverable or is not responded to within 24 hours of notification, Hotels.com reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award their prize to another participant. If a winner has not claimed their prize by the date specified in the notification of winning, Hotels.com reserves the right to conduct a further random draw to award the prize to another participant.

9.       In the event that, for reasons beyond Hotels.com’s reasonable control and not related to a winner, Hotels.com is unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, Hotels.com reserves the right to award a prize of a similar nature and an equivalent value, or at its sole discretion, the cash value of the prize. In the event of a printing or other error resulting in there being more winners than prizes for the Prize Draw, Hotels.com reserves the right at any time to allocate the available prize through a further draw or to divide the prize or the value of the prize between the winners of the Prize Draw.

10.     By entering the Prize Draw, participants agree to have their name and photograph featured in publicity materials relating to the Prize Draw without further reference, payment or other compensation. This includes making their name as a winner available via private message on Instagram or Twitter between 28 January 2022 and 27 February 2022. Details of the winner will also be made available to participants and the public on request by sending a letter and stamped addressed envelope to Brand Comms, Hotels.com, 407 St John St., London EC1V4EX no later than 8 March 2022.

11.    Collection and Use of Your Personal Information: Hotels.com may collect and process your personal information directly or through our agents or contractors. We will use your personal information as necessary in order to conduct and manage the Prize Draw, and, where we have a lawful basis to do so, to send marketing communications to you. We may disclose your personal information to our related companies, agents, and contractors to assist in conducting and managing this offer, communicating with you, or storing data. This may include disclosures to organizations outside the UK in places such as the United States.

12.     Hotels.com reserves the right to modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the Prize Draw in whole or in part, at its sole discretion, if it believes the Prize Draw is not capable of being conducted as specified within these Terms and Conditions or in the event of a virus, a computer bug or unauthorized human intervention or any other cause that is beyond the reasonable control of Hotels.com that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or normal course of the Prize Draw. Neither Hotels.com nor any of its subsidiary or affiliated companies are responsible for any condition, circumstances, losses, failures or delays caused by events beyond its or their control such as (but not limited to) the acts or defaults of any supplier selected by Hotels.com to provide the prize or otherwise that may cause the Prize Draw to be disrupted or corrupted, or that may lead to loss or damage of the prize in transit to the winner.

13.     Save where it has been negligent, Hotels.com will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participants' entry into the Prize Draw or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit their ability to participate in the Prize Draw. Hotels.com will not be responsible for any lost, damaged, defaced, incomplete, illegible or otherwise unreadable entries. Proof of posting is not proof of receipt by Hotels.com of any entries. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit Hotels.com's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not as a matter of law be limited.

14.     Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Prize Draw in a manner, which in Hotels.com's reasonable determination is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other entrants (including without limitation tampering with the operation of the Prize Draw, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Hotels.com and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Prize Draw at Hotels.com's sole discretion. Furthermore, where such actions have significantly impaired the Prize Draw, Hotels.com may, at its sole discretion, add further stages to the Prize Draw as it deems reasonably necessary in order to resolve any problems arising as a result of such actions.

15.     All Hotels.com's decisions in relation to the Prize Draw are final and Hotels.com will not enter into any correspondence with participants.

16.     These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute or claim arising in association with the Prize Draw or these Terms and Conditions.

Reward night will be deposited to a winner’s account within fourteen (14) days of confirmation of winner status. The value of your reward night doesn't count toward any applicable taxes or fees.
