Bush DLED32HD has developed a fault rendering the tv unusable- sound but no picture.

Shining a torch at the screen shows a faint picture, suggesting that the backlight is at fault?
Tried a power cycle.

I'm in touch with Argos aftercare but not hopeful as it's out of the 1 year warranty.
I found a question on their site about this model, same fault reported by a person 17 months after purchase.

I'm also struggling to find a local engineer to quote for a repair - Curry's offer a service from £95 but I have nothing to ship the tv in.

Should I just give in and buy new (avoiding Bush!) making sure the old tv is recycled?

I'd rather have a repair but seems like a replacement would be much quicker and easier.
