Tiny bathroom

  • I would suggest removing the unit/vanity unit as that is taking up a chunk of space then get a pedestal sink. This will give you bit more space on the bath side and look at maybe getting a bifold shower door that will fold in to give you access to taps. You can get a wall cupboard above sink (I generally advise against this because things fall out and can damage the sink - I learnt this the hard and expensive way!). Good luck!

Congratulations on your new home.  It's an exciting time and you do need to take a moment to appreciate that things don't have to be rushed,  you are likely to be there a while.

A floor plan would definitely help.

As you are ripping out the bath and only looking at that photo showing a bit of your room, the obvious to me apart from ripping it all out is to spin the bath 180 degrees - but that may not be possible and it's not something to suggest without seeing the rest of the room layout.

I know you are not keen but a shower curtain would be much more practical and safer.
They're not as unsightly as you think.
It could stretch the length of the bath reducing splash to the floor.
Another option would be to get rid of the tub and have a large walk in shower.

I'd wait until you're in and get a few bathroom fitters round for their ideas. We had a really tiny awful bathroom, but the fitter kinda moved everything around (in a way that looked impossible to me) and then suddenly it felt so much better. Shaped bathtubs, different/modern sink/cupboards - it all makes a huge difference.

What's wrong with having the shower (and screen) at the other end of the bath? Is that where the toilet is?

As its located you not only couldn't get to the taps to turn them on but how would you clean either side of the shower screen.
I think this needs some rejigging.
A pedistall sink will give it a feeling of space. Shelves or what not can be added
I thought mine was small and went round the large static caravans for sale with my camera. It's an eyeopener what you can do with some knowledge and experience.
As suggested, a floor plan would help.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
