Thankful to a stranger...

I had a parcel go missing with Hermes before Christmas, the company refunded me. Then last week Hermes sent me a message saying it was out for delivery, so I assumed it had been found in a warehouse, perhaps getting lost with all the Christmas parcels. I waited in, no parcel arrived but the delivery information updated to say it was delivered at 16:48 but the photo taken was of a black square... I thought nothing more of it wondering if the parcel was in fact on it's way back to the company I had ordered from.

Then yesterday afternoon there was a knock at the door, an elderly man had found the parcel on his doorstep last week and took it upon himself to walk down to my home with it. I was ever so grateful to him, especially since my property can be a little difficult to locate even with the help of Google, probably why the courier delivered it elsewhere in error!

I then called the company I ordered from and explained I had now got the missing parcel and could I pay for it since they had already refunded me. Someone from the financial team is calling tomorrow afternoon to take payment from me.

The man who brought my parcel to me has restored my faith in humans as I have not seen too much of that lately in real life!
