Warranty on discontinued shower

Hi
Hoping we can get some advice on the following.
We have a digital mixer shower (Bristan Artisan Evo) that is now leaking. We contacted Bristan as it's still within warranty but they informed me that the product has been discontinued as have the spare parts for it. As a gesture of goodwill they have offered to give us a refund on the shower - £199 (can't remember how much we paid for it).
The issue is that the pipework was done for this particular shower (head comes thru the ceiling) and replacements currently on the market are around £450.
Just wondering where I stand from a legal point of view. They have offered to cover the cost of any damages which I was impressed with.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Stuart

Where is it leaking? Could it be fixed?
have you looked for spare parts on the internet? EBay?
Most things aren’t usually a write off and can be repaired.0 -
Legally you probably stand nowhere, assuming you didn't actually buy directly from Bristan. Any consumer rights you have will be the retailer.0

All you're legally entitled to is whatever the warranty says you are - manufacturer warranties are a bonus on top of the consumer rights you have versus the retailer.0

I assume its the mixer controller? Part number is EMV WSO
This company seems to have it in stock, but its £665 (no idea how much you originally paid). Note that this supplier seems to list every part of that shower at £665.
Bristan Artisan Evo EMS Mixing Valve - EMV WSO (divapor.com)
Hopefully searching on the part number will help find other suppliers.0 -
Wow - That is the exact part which is faulty. I think we paid around £250 ish for the whole shower so assume they have ramped the price up as these parts aren't made anymore. That is a massive price hike. I will tell the customer service people and see if they will pay that for it.krisdorey said:I assume its the mixer controller? Part number is EMV WSO

Hopefully searching on the part number will help find other suppliers.I can guarantee they won't spend £665 purchasing a part from a 3rd party.Their offer is very generous - £50 for 4 years use of the shower.0 -
Take the offer of a refund and source a replacement part yourself. Bristan may no longer supply it but there should be plenty of independents out there with the a supply.
This place seems to have the shower but not sure whether it's in stock or whether they are trusted supplier - http://www.bristan.nationwide-bathrooms.co.uk/artisan/showers/bristan-artisan-evo-digital-shower.html2
