Travel insurance for Test and Trace

I am trying to get travel insurance to cover me if I am contacted by Test and Trace and told I have been a contact of someone who has tested positive.
As I am vaccinated I am exempt from having to isolate, but gov.uk strongly advise to limit contact with others outside my home. I would not want to get on that flight, ferry, train etc.
Travel insurers do not cover this. They only cover if you are legally required to self isolate.
Has anyone come across this?

If you are choosing not to travel, then you would need to find an insurer willing to cover for any disinclination to travel. So I think it is very unlikely.

Thanks and unfortunately the travel insurance companies view it as a disinclination to travel when in fact by not travelling I am following the gov.uk who ‘strongly advise’ I limit contact with other. It would seem irresponsible to then get on a flight etc with other people.

In that case then, just do a test if you get a text like that, results back within 10 minutes, if its negative then you get on with your life.

Or, in an ideal world, everyone deletes the Test and Trace app from their phones and everyone stops testing, but thats wishful thinking.

This has nothing to do with the app. There is no legal obligation to do anything with the app, it is just one extra way to stay safe and keep others safe. The app only notifiies via push notification, not text/call.
The OP mention being contacted by Test & Trace, which does have legal obligations and you don't need the app to get contacted by them via text.
As you say if you get contacted and test negative you can just carry on, or test with a lateral flow daily so it shouldn't affect things as much as it was last summer.
