I was going to open some savings accounts through this as the £50 bonus offer makes it a good option and also I like the idea of having my savings accounts in that one place but looking at the reviews on google play it's getting ripped apart and It's put me off? What are peoples experiences of the app?

I opened an account with raisin and from my experience would advise others to avoid doing so.On opening I supplied all details required together with nominated bank details. Once the raisin account was open I decided to open a Charter savings bank fixed rate bond. The money was transferred successfully from my nominated account to raisin and the Charter account was set up. The problems started when claiming the raisin £50 bonus which I requested to be transferred back to my nominated account. I received a message from raisin saying that the transfer of the £50 had failed due to my nominated bank details being incorrect and on checking bank details they held noticed that the last account number digit had been changed. This was clearly an error on raisins part as if I had given the incorrect nominated account number when registering then they would not have been able to accept my deposit to Charter. This is where the problems begin, I advised raisin by secure message that that they have altered my bank details, the standard response was that I’m requesting a nominated bank change and that I need to send them a current bank statement photo by secure message which they rejected because quote ‘it did not show the 4 corners of the statement’. I have forwarded another but have not received any response. This has been going on since early December. Phone calls are not answered and then cut off, secure messages are now ignored. I’m unable to access the bonus and more seriously if this is not settled will be unable to access the Charter bond when it matures. Avoid at all cost.2

Check out Hargreaves Lansdown Active Savings as an alternative. The choice of accounts will be different and the interest rates lower by about 0.1% but much better customer service. Thank you for the thread, my partner and I have been trying decide whether Raisin is appropriate for her. I have HL Active Savings.

My experience with Raisin has been good.I did the 'welcome bonus' at least a year ago, no problem receiving the bonus.Recently, end of 2021, i took advantage of the 'boost bonus' offer. Opened 4 seperate fixed rate accounts, claimed and received £40 bonus.One issue was, when transferring funds from my bank to Raisin, my bank blocked the transaction so i had to call them up to confirm.0

Speak as you find, I have used Raisin for a long time now. Currently have 5 accounts open with them. I have claimed the new member bonus and the boost bonus and had no issues at all. I know often its only when things go wrong you are able to judge how good a setup is and how problems are handled. But I have been very happy with Raisin.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.0 -
I’m happy for those who have had a good experience with raisin, however I think there is a serious issue with my experience. All deposit money was paid from and accepted via my nominated account. When I claimed the bonus this was sent by raisin to a different account to the one I have registered with them. Fortunately, this was returned to raisin from the receiving bank. Can you just imagine if this was a maturing deposit being returned to an incorrect account and the receiving bank not returning the money. Beware.

The major drawback for me is that Raisin don't accept debit card deposits.
This means extra stress, especially when transferring large amounts of cash.

I always send a £ to a new organisation to confirm it arrived ok before a large transfer, and Raisin actually recommended this approach in their blurb.1

I have only used Raisin to bag their bonus. This went flawlessly. The interest rates on offer don't look attractive to me, so I am not planning on using them again any time soon. As and if they have market leading rates, I would not hesitate to go back.
I have much the same experience and opinion about HL Active Savings.0 -
I was looking at the HL active savings too and the interest rates are poorer but it seems a more professional outfit and also it seems is able to connect to a few budgeting apps which is a bonus for me as I would quite like that capability.0

Hi, there was nowhere for me to put the MSE25 code when I opened my Raisin account today, post said under section 4 but it didn't show. I looked back and saw when I clicked on some of the Raisin savings links it showed to £25 and £50 bonuses but mine (Cambridge & County) only showed the £50. The main post said all the accounts would get the extra £25, any advice?0
