Any reason for not checking in online 24 hours before the flight that would have highlighted any potential issues and given more time to resolve? Clearly not doing so doesnt absolve anyone from anything but its one of the myriad of reasons for doing so.
We flew to the States a couple of week ago and weren't allowed to checkin online even though we had Verifly. Same on the return, its to do with them having to check your vaccine status and such
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

I'm 4.5hrs from my own first check in opening since VeriFly was introduced... hoping this was a problem you guys had and not systemic as already not liking the look of most the seats left available. Got my VeriFly completed status about 8 hours ago but heard some stories of synching taking time.
  • Have this been resolved @salimnina
not solved by them, I had to buy another ticket, get them back first then see, BA wanted £1200, managed to get it for £500, connection flight though
  • The solicitor who is well-known for taking on airlines is a firm called Bott and Company. Their website is called EUClaim.

I suggest that you make contact with them, then call BA again saying that you are taking legal advise and ask THEM to find a solution and get your family home. Make sure that BA have your wife's phone number.
they are not taking my case, because they dont consider it as denied boarding because my wife got a boarding pass.

Nothing to do with VeriFly, check in done at the airport, it has been always the case when flying from Algiers, not sure why

You mentioned “kids” as plural in your first post. You confirmed that your wife was checked in and given a boarding pass, your 12 year old son was not.  What about the other kid’S’. Were they checked in and issued boarding passes?

Does the name of your son on the airline booking that you made exactly match your son’s passport?

Can you look back at the reservation paperwork to see if booked as a child or young adult.

I would question them on that: your wife was not denied boarding but your son was, so it would be surprising if they concluded that the airline had behaved correctly.

The OP gives more information in his other post.https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6327650/denied-boarding-by-iberia-because-ticket-not-issued-correctly#latest

He changed the return date and it seems this was not processed correctly. BA  corrected this but it inly worked for mum and daughter.

BA insist they did everything correctly. Iberia could not access the son's booking despite being able to see it.

Agree some more information on the second thread.

The OP also recently disclosed for the first time that they were travelling back from Algiers. He had also changed the flights for his wife and children. Iberia became involved which made me think that perhaps instead of the direct BA ALG-LHR flight they decided to route ALG-MAD-LHR.  With the son being 12 and denied boarding if this was somehow linked to the 12 year old not being double jab vaccinated, misunderstanding on transiting MAD and refused entry to Spain. Just another thought.

Hopefully with the wife back in the U.K. soon the OP can better establish exactly what happened at Algiers airport and what exact was said.
